Another jackpot for the KJD Archives! Vincent Wong – a photographer from the community who, back in 1998, saw an ad for our performance in the paper and showed up to attend and document the event – recently gifted us with a collection of these long lost photographs from The River! The River was a 1998, site-specific work that was performed over two weeks and traced the route where Brewery Creek once flowed through Vancouver. The timing of Vincent’s donation couldn’t be better, as we are preparing to start working on The River recreation in the very near future as part of our Body to Land Project. We are always grateful to past collaborators for sharing their memories and materials with us! Here is a selection of the photos Vincent took, which are now housed in the KJD Archives.
