About
The final production of CONNECT was performed at Heart of the City festival on Sunday November 3rd, 2013 at 3pm. CONNECT, created through process of collaboration, seeks to connect us to our body, to the energy of the earth, to each other and to our diverse communities. This performance is part of an on-going series of dance workshops offered by Karen Jamieson Dance in partnership with Carnegie Community Centre and SFU’s Vancity Office of Community Engagement.
CONNECT took the form of a procession starting outside the Carnegie Centre entrance and walking west down Hastings Street for an appearance at Pigeon Park (Hastings & Columbia St.) and a performance at the World Art Centre, Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (SFU Woodwards 149 W. Hastings St. 2nd floor). Those who did not wish to join the procession were asked to meet at the World Art Centre at 3:20pm.
